1. Add your laundry
Place your wet clothes, towels or sheets in the dryer, leaving enough room for them to tumble freely.
2. Add the dryer balls
Toss 3 to 4 wool dryer balls into the dryer with your wet laundry. Use all 6 for large loads like towels or bedding.
3. Dry and reuse
Run your dryer as usual. When the cycle ends, take the balls out and reuse them load after load.

To dryer ball or not to dryer ball? I’m team Dryer Ball.Nothing magically new here but they are the good quality of dryer ball you need to increase drying efficiency and reduce static cling.I included a picture so you can compare the size of the wool balls to a standard tennis ball. Wool balls are so much quieter, thankfully.Wool balls heat up in the dryer faster than the wet items and work their way in between items, creating a warm and dry core. They also separate large items, like blankets, to help keep them from rolling up with no heat circulating inside the roll.When clothes dry closer together, they tend to develop static, wool balls help reduce it.Wool balls are also great at gently fluffing pillows and comforters, a necessity for down duvets and pillows.This set is about right for a large load, if you tend to run loads back to back, a second set would be helpful, as wool attracts moisture and helps things dry faster, switch out between loads. A good value in this set makes two a reasonable laundry purchase.As a side note, dryer balls even look cute in wire baskets while being stored and drying between loads. The included bag is handy but the basket makes for a great look.
This is a nice set of six extra-large dryer balls made from 100% New Zealand wool. They feel very substantial and well made, and I like using such a simple, natural product in my laundry.So far, they seem to do a good job helping reduce static and picking up pet hair. They also come nicely presented in a lovely canvas storage bag, which gives the set an impressive presentation. This would make a thoughtful and practical gift for someone who appreciates natural, reusable household products.
I originally got these wool dryer balls mainly to SAVE MONEY ON DRYER SHEETS, and they've definitely accomplished that. Instead of using and throwing away dryer sheets with every load, we can just keep reusing these same six wool balls.I was also interested in the manufacturer's claim that the six XL wool balls help separate the clothes so hot air circulates better and can reduce drying time by up to 25%. I honestly CAN'T SAY YET whether they're actually lowering our electric bill or cutting our drying time by that much. That's something that would be difficult for me to measure accurately. What I CAN say is that they work well in the dryer, and we're definitely spending less money on dryer sheets every time we go to the store.I also like the idea that these can be reused for a very long time instead of continually buying another disposable laundry product. If they really last anywhere close to the advertised 1,000+ loads, the savings over time could add up considerably.There is one slightly humorous downside we've discovered: after the dryer finishes, we sometimes have to go on a HUNT FOR THE WOOL BALLS. They can get mixed into clothes, tucked inside something, or otherwise disappear into the load, so we have to find all of them before starting the next one.Overall, though, I'm happy with them. I can't personally verify the energy-savings claims yet, but I CAN verify that we're buying fewer dryer sheets, and that alone is already saving us money.

These dryer balls are an outstanding alternative to dryer sheets, and have the advantage of providing natural rather than chemical softening. They can also be used to break in leather goods, and they worked very well to soften a leather purse for my wife. I was surprised how hard they are while being soft on the outside. These work perfectly and being 100% wool, are offered at a fair price.
